Kent Forestry Targa Rally

We need you, as with any motorsport event the support of marshals is required, marshals with start/finish experience, PC/TC experience, even novice marshals, your help would be greatly appreciated on the day. We can't offer you riches or great reward but we can offer you the chance be a part of the first running of t his event. In association with the Weald Motor Club, on Saturday 18th of September 2021, Borough 18 Motor Club are promoting the Kent Forestry Targa Rally.
The event is a round of the 2021 ASWMC Targa Road Rally Championship. Championship contenders must enter the ‘Interclub’ category. For the Novice there will be a Clubman’s event. Please be aware you will require a ‘RS Clubman’ licence from Motorsport UK. The event will run under a Targa Road Rally permit allowing any 2WD road rally cars to compete.
The event will be open to members of the organising club, Weald Motor club and member clubs of the ASWMC.
Regulations:
The Regs will be available on the Date TBA.
Entries
Entries will be open from TBA.
Venue:
The event will start and finish at The Kenward Trust Manor House https://www.kenwardtrust.org.uk/ situated just north of Yalding in Kent. Scrutineering, breakfast, results and evening meal (included in the entry fee) will be at the venue, breakfast will be available, but not included with the entry.
Trailers:
Trailer parking will be available locally, please note we are unable to provide a secure trailer park and you should ensure your trailer has suitable security arrangements, it will be left entirely at your own risk.
The route:
Will be approximately 180 miles in total. This includes approximately 40 miles of special tests. There will be 7 tests in total provided from 2 forests and 1 MOD woodland all on smooth gravel roads.
Entry fee:
Will be in the region of £190. Entries and results will be provided by Tony Michaels
Evening meal:
An evening meal will be included within the entry and will provided by a local Indian restaurant. Chicken/ pork or vegetarian curry will be selected on entering the event and will include rice, naan and side.
Vehicle eligibility:
All cars must comply with Motorsport UK Technical Regulations (R18 Road Rally or R19 Historic Road Rally) and additionally with R20.1.11 (Safety Rules) Waivers will NOT be available for Historic Road Rally cars (Cars registered on or before 31st December 1985) Four wheel drive cars will NOT be allowed in any class.
Cars must be fitted with rollover protection to a minimum of Section K,Appendix 2, Drawing 1 (rear hoop). Open top cars must be fitted with a hard top.
