Weald Motor Club, on Saturday 16th of September 2023, presents the Connaught Competition Engines Kent Forestry Targa with support from Borough 18 Motor Club, Sevenoaks Motor Club, Blackpalfrey Motor Club, Maidstone & Mid Kent Motor Club and North Kent Car Club.
This event will offer 32 miles of top quality mixed surface tracks and hard surface central rest halt area within MOD Mereworth woods.
The Entry Fee will be £130.00
The event will once again form part of the DL Motorsport Parts 2023 ASWMC Targa Road Rally Championship, the 2023 BTRDA Gold Star Targa Road Rally Championship – contenders should enter the Interclub event to score points. Registered contenders can also score points by marshalling.
For the Novice there will be a Clubman’s event. Please be aware you will require a ‘RS Clubman’ licence from Motorsport UK.
Eligibility:
The event will be run under a Targa Road Rally permit thus allowing any 2WD Road Rally cars to compete. Cars will be subject to additional safety and tyre restrictions. To protect the surface and ensure this event can run in the future only road tyres or winter tyres will be allowed as per SR 5.
We recommend those travelling from further away to stay locally as documentation and scrutineering will start at 6:30am.
The Interclub event is open to:
- All members of the organising club
- All fully elected members of a motor club who are members of the Weald Motor Club, ASWMC, ASEMC, AEMC, ASCMC, BTRDA and registered contenders in the DL Motorsport Parts 2023 ASWMC Targa Road Rally Championship.
All crew members must produce a valid MOTORSPORT UK Competition Licence and Club Membership card at signing on.
For the novice there will be a Clubman event open to any member of Weald Motor Club (membership is available) with production of club card and Clubman RS licence which is available FOC from Motorsport UK.

Entries will be open from Friday 28th July, 21:00hrs, online via MTC1, please ensure that you follow the signing on process given on the website and in the regulations.

Venue:
The event will start and finish at Mereworth Woods, Maidstone, Kent. TN15 5QY Scrutineering, noise and catering (breakfast rolls and lunch burger/ dog rolls) will be at the venue, catering will not be included with the entry.
Trailers:
Note there is no trailer parking available at the actual venue, there will be a local trailer park available at scrutineering/ noise, please note we are unable to provide a secure trailer park and you should ensure your trailer has suitable security arrangements, it will be left entirely at your own risk.
The route:
This is a single venue event and will be approximately 32 miles in total.

Double Driving:
Cars may be entered by two separate drivers but the start position of both competitors will be at the organisers discretion.
Vehicle eligibility:
All cars must comply with the Motorsport UK Technical Regulations R18 (Road Rally) or R19 (Historic Road Rally) and additionally with R20.1.11 (safety rules).
Waivers will not be available for Historic Road Rally cars (i.e. cars registered on or before 31st December 1985) so these cars must comply with R19 completely. Four wheel drive cars will NOT be allowed in any class.
All vehicles MUST also comply with all of R20.1.11:
It is REQUIRED that all vehicles be fitted with rollover protection to a minimum of Section K, Appendix 2, Drawing 1 (Rear Hoop).
Open top cars must be fitted with a hard top.
