Kent Forestry Targa Rally, Marshals and Competitor updates

Weald Motor Club, on Saturday 10th of September 2022, presents the Connaught Competition Engines Kent Forestry Targa with support from Borough 18 Motor Club, Sevenoaks Motor Club, Blackpalfrey Motor Club, Maidstone & Mid Kent Motor Club and North Kent Car Club.
The event will once again form part of the DL Motorsport Parts 2022 ASWMC Targa Road Rally Championship, BTRDA Targa Road Rally and BTRDA Allrounders Championships – contenders should enter the Interclub event to score points. Registered contenders can also score points by marshalling.
For the Novice there will be a Clubman’s event. Please be aware you will require a ‘RS Clubman’ licence from Motorsport UK.
The event will be run under a Targa Road Rally permit thus allowing any 2WD Road Rally cars to compete. Cars will be subject to additional safety and tyre restrictions. To protect the surface and ensure this event can run in the future only road tyres or winter tyres will be allowed as per SR 5.
The Interclub event is open to: - All members of the organising club - All fully elected members of a motor club who are members of the Weald Motor Club, ASWMC, ASEMC, AEMC, ASCMC, BTRDA and registered contenders in the DL Motorsport Parts 2022 ASWMC Targa Road Rally Championship. All crew members must produce a valid MOTORSPORT UK Competition Licence and Club Membership card at signing on.
The Clubman RS event is open to fully elected members of the Weald Motor Club. Membership of Weald is obtained by joining any of the member clubs, including Borough 18 Motor Club for £10.00 which can only be done via the Borough 18 Motor Club website membership page.

The Regulations will be published on the 15th July, they will be available via this web site and the Borough 18/ Weald Motor Club Facebook pages.
Entries
Entries will be open from Friday 29th July, (subject to change) 21:00hrs, online via MTC1
Venue:
The event will start and finish at Mereworth Woods, Maidstone, Kent. TN15 5QY Scrutineering, noise and catering (breakfast rolls and lunch burger/ dog rolls) will be at the venue, catering will not be included with the entry.
Trailers:
Note there is no trailer parking available at the venue, there will be a local trailer park available, please note we are unable to provide a secure trailer park and you should ensure your trailer has suitable security arrangements, it will be left entirely at your own risk.
The route:
This is a single venue event and will be approximately 32 miles in total. This includes 5 special tests in total provided from 1 MOD woodland on smooth gravel roads.
Entry fee:
Will be in the region of £120. Entries and results will be provided by Tony Michaels
Double Driving:
There will be a limited number of double driving available with the championship named driver having the first run, the number permitted will be at the organisers discretion.
Vehicle eligibility:
All cars must comply with Motorsport UK Technical Regulations (R18 Road Rally or R19 Historic Road Rally) and additionally with R20.1.11 (Safety Rules) Waivers will NOT be available for Historic Road Rally cars (Cars registered on or before 31st December 1985) Four wheel drive cars will NOT be allowed in any class.
Cars must be fitted with rollover protection to a minimum of Section K,Appendix 2, Drawing 1 (rear hoop).
Open top cars must be fitted with a hard top.
